Two things, and neither of them requires you to trust us.
One is free. The other is refundable. That is the entire structure, and it exists because we have no case studies yet and are not going to pretend otherwise.
The live proposal
45 minutes · screenshare · no commitment
You describe how one job moves through your business. The proposal assembles on screen as you talk — every feature as its own line item with its own price. Pull rows out, phase it, change the scope, watch the total move.
- Fifteen to twenty-four priced line items, typically
- A real total, not a range
- Yours to keep, whatever you decide
- NDA signed same-day on request
The 48-hour MVP
Refundable in full · any reason · no justification required
Working software with a login, inside 48 hours of kickoff. You use it with your own data and your own people. If it is not right, you say so and the money comes back.
- One fixed deposit, refundable in full, no percentage held back
- Real software, not a design file
- Delivered within 48 hours of kickoff
- Full refund within 7 days of delivery, no conditions
- Deposit credits against the full build if you continue
What you get
- A working application, not a mockup or a clickable prototype
- Hosted by us and reachable in a browser, with real login credentials
- The core loop of your business, running on your real data
- As many logins as you want, so your team can use it too
- A walkthrough call after delivery to decide what happens next
What you do not get
- Every feature on the proposal — the MVP is the core loop, the rest is scoped and scheduled
- Production-grade scale, formal compliance attestation, or third-party integrations
- Code ownership during the MVP phase — that transfers at final payment on the full build
- An obligation to continue. Most of the point is that you can find out and walk.
Two numbers that are not the same
| A typical development shop | OwnerBuilt | |
|---|---|---|
| Time before you see a price | 2–6 weeks of discovery | 45 minutes, on call one |
| Time before you see working software | 90–180 days | 48 hours |
| Money at risk to find out | $5,000–$10,000 down, non-refundable | $2,900, refundable for any reason |
| What the guarantee actually says | Read the contract | One paragraph. Published on this site. |
We are not claiming the incumbents overcharge. A $15k–$25k build over four months with a real team is honest pricing for what it is. We are changing a different axis: how long it takes you to find out whether this is worth doing at all.
Why we publish the deposit and not the total.
The deposit is a fixed number, so we publish it. The build price depends entirely on what you need, so publishing a range would be doing the exact thing we built this company to replace. “Fifteen to fifty thousand depending on scope” is not information. It is a way of declining to answer.
Most builds land in the low five figures. Your proposal gives you the specific number for your specific scope, on call one, for free — which is a far more useful thing than a range on a pricing page.
Payment is fifty percent at build start and fifty percent on delivery. The deposit credits against the first payment. Code and hosting transfer to you at final payment.
You can have a real number by this time tomorrow.
Forty-five minutes on a screenshare. You describe how your business works, we build the itemized proposal live while you watch, and you keep it either way.
No cost. No commitment. The proposal is yours to keep.
